Requirements / Qualifications

Under general supervision of the school principal, to independently perform a variety of bilingual/bicultural instructional activities; to perform a variety of supportive tasks and follow-up activities; to occasionally serve as an interpreter for community members with a limited English speaking ability; and to do other related work as required. Qualifications include 12th grade/equivalent, supplemented by training or course work in child growth and development, instructional technology, or bilingual/bicultural instructional processes. Two years of (paid or volunteer) experience working with English learner students. CPR & First Aid certification.

Applicants who meet the minimum qualifications will be invited for testing. Applicants must pass all portions of the testing process, including ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) testing to proceed in the recruitment process. If hired, position requires fingerprint background check by DOJ/FBI, and pre-employment physical, including drug screen.

  • CPR/First Aid Certification (Copy of CPR & First Aid Certificate or letter stating you will obtain a CPR & First Aid certificate within the first six months of employment)
  • Letter(s) of Recommendation (Two current letters of recommendation signed and dated within the past year)
  • Proof of HS Graduation (Copy of Diploma or GED (or college degree))
  • Resume
