The Teacher on Assignment for Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) will play a key role in supporting and advancing arts education within the Buena Vista Arts-integrated School and OMSD. This position involves collaborating with educators, administrators, and community partners to enhance arts programming, provide professional development for teachers, and advocate for the importance of arts education. The TOA VAPA will also assist in curriculum development, assessment, and the implementation of best practices in arts instruction. Additionally, the TOA VAPA will plan and facilitate the production of the annual spring musical in collaboration with Vernon Arts Conservatory. REQUIRED: - California CLEAR Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, with English Learner authorization - Minimum of three (3) years successful classroom experience with students - Internship / Preliminary Credentials NOT ELIGIBLE PREFERRED: - Administrative Services Credential preferred, but not required - Experience with academic and behavioral intervention
