Job Summary
•Provide classroom climate and learning experiences that further our students’ social, emotional, physical, and academic development • Collect homework and student assignments as directed by the regular classroom teacher and/or lesson plans • Establish and maintain a positive, safe and supportive classroom and school environment that values learning and achievement • Report all student injuries, accidents and illnesses to the proper school administrators immediately or as soon as possible • Demonstrate respect and understanding of students and families from diverse backgrounds • Maintain and respect confidentiality of student and school personnel information •Request clarification of school rules and district policies, if necessary • Return the room keys to the school administrative assistant and return instructional materials and equipment to the proper place •Maintain accurate student records, including attendance

If you do not have a permit, you can apply on CTC website and start the process. A review of applicants' experience and qualifications will be conducted. Based on that evaluation, only applicants that provided all required documents and met the minimum qualifications will be qualified to participate in the next step of the interview process. All offers of employment are subject to and contingent upon the completion of a criminal background check by the CA Dept. of Justice and positive references Convictions of certain crimes, including but not limited to sex and narcotic offenses and serious and violent felonies, as specified in the CA Ed and Penal Codes, will bar employment with the District and this contract shall become null and void. Candidates selected for employment will be required to provide verification of work authorization per the I-9 document.
