Job Summary
BASIC FUNCTION Under the direction of the Chief Technology Officer and Network and Systems Manager, designs, implements and maintains the District’s network and server systems; researches, tests and evaluates network and server systems. Ensures the efficient operation of systems including routers, switches, servers and firewalls. Provides technical assistance to users in regards to the use of network, server and systems applications.

LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid California driver’s license.
Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience administering complex networks as a Network Administrator, System Engineer or a similar position. Supporting technical environments with at least 500 users. Prior experience supporting academic technical environments is preferred. Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data communications, electrical engineering or closely related field from an accredited institution. In conjunction with ONE of the following certifications: o CCNA R/S certification o CCNP R/S certification (preferred) o MCSA certification o MCSE certification (preferred) o VCP certification -Or- Associate’s degree in computer science, data communications, electrical engineering or closely related field from an accredited institution. In conjunction with TWO of the following certifications: o CCNA R/S certification or CCNP R/S certification (preferred) o MCSA certification or MCSE certification (preferred) o VCP certification

- Letter(s) of Recommendation (Three letters of professional recommendation)
