Job Summary

The Lawndale Elementary School District has a vacant Senior Custodian position at J. Addams Middle School. This is a 12-month, 8-hour/day position that accumulates one paid vacation and one sick day per month of employment. In addition, LESD pays 100% for employee health/welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, etc). Dependent coverage is at a cost to the employee. In addition, LESD provides a $1,000 per year career enrichment program for employees. High School Diploma or higher degree. Valid California Driver’s License, and sufficient training and experience to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities listed above. Ability to be covered by District Auto Insurance. Full time 8 hrs/day at J. Addams Middle School Monday - Friday 6 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Current LESD Employees may submit a reassignment request form and required documents to the District Office by the closing date and time. The Reassignment Request form can be obtained on Ed-Join (see link), HR’s webpage, or from the District Office. Substitute employees must apply on Edjoin.

Requirements: Please attach all required documents, your resume, a copy of your driver's license, and a copy of your high school diploma or higher degree to your Edjoin application (pdf format works best). All applicants must pass a multiple-choice Scanton test, and receive a passing score of 70% or better. NOTE: If selected for the position, you must have the ability to be covered by District Auto Insurance and pass a physical examination paid by LESD.
