Job Description / Essential Elements:    Print   
Provide technical assistance in the development implementation of the District’s master planning, construction management, lease/purchase of buildings and housing projections; prepare construction related Board actions and resolutions; oversee the collection of developer fees and related accounting. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: KNOWLEDGE OF building construction methods, materials and terminology; preparation of construction documents; bookkeeping methods; modern office practices, procedures and equipment; financial and statistical record-keeping techniques; research methods and report writing techniques; interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy. ABILITY TO provide technical assistance in the development and implementation of the District’s master planning, construction management, lease/purchase of buildings and housing projections; prepare construction related Board actions and resolutions; read and develop plans, specifications, ordinances, codes and contracts; research, interpret and apply a variety of rules and regulations; develop and maintain filing systems; maintain current knowledge of program rules, regulations, requirements and restrictions; establish and maintain accurate records; communicate effectively in legal and construction terminology; learn a variety of technical information related to school facility planning and construction; type basic memoranda and correspondence; assign and review the work of others; make arithmetic computations with speed and accuracy; handle a variety of public contracts with tact and courtesy; operate a computer terminal to enter data, maintain records and generate reports; work independently with little direction; work cooperatively with others. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: high school diploma or equivalent supplemented by some college-level course work in real estate, accounting, construction management or related field and increasingly responsible clerical or technical experience in real estate, construction, planning or related experience. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/CERTIFICATES: Valid California driver’s license. If selected for the position, out of district applicants will be charged for T.B. test ($15.00), plus fingerprinting costs ($42.00).
