Job Summary
Under the general direction of designated administrator coordinates workers’ compensation claims from inception to resolution. Monitors the progress of claims, addresses outstanding issues, and guides employees through the process to ensure they receive proper care and support. Oversees the operational and financial impacts of workplace injuries, ensures compliance with relevant regulations, and maintains accurate records. Acts as a liaison between employees, insurance carriers, and other stakeholders to facilitate an effective workers’ compensation process. Assists in implementing return-to-work programs and collaborates with staff to develop modified duty assignments when necessary. Plays a pivotal role in supporting the District’s workers’ compensation program and related activities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS A high school diploma or GED AND three years of experience coordinating, performing, or providing administrative support to a technical function, preferably in a workers’ compensation, risk management, legal, insurance, or similar environment. OR, An associate degree, preferably with coursework in business administration, public administration, or a related field, AND two years of experience coordinating, performing, or providing administrative support to a technical function, preferably in a workers’ compensation, risk management, legal, insurance, or similar environment OR, A bachelor’s degree, preferably with coursework in business administration, public administration, or a related field, AND one year of experience coordinating, performing, or providing administrative support to a technical function, preferably in a workers’ compensation, risk management, legal, insurance, or similar environment Licenses and Certificates Certificate in project management is desirable

To establish a list of eligible candidates that will be used to fill current and future vacancies for the duration of the list, up to one year. The vacancy is a 12-month, full-time (8 hours/day) position located in the Risk Management Department at the District Office in Simi Valley, CA.
APPLICATION DEADLINE: Completed applications must be submitted no later than 11:59 p.m. on July 11, 2024. Late applications will not be accepted.
TESTING PROCESS:
A) Training and Experience (T&E) Evaluation = Qualifying (pass/fail)
B) Structured Interview = 100% weighting on final score
Tentatively scheduled for the week of July 22, 2024.
