Job Summary

Job Summary

Definition The Dual Language Program (DL) Teacher provides a Dual Language educational program designed to provide opportunities for students to develop biliteracy and multicultural competence. Under the direction of the principal, the DL teacher develops and delivers lesson plans for the class and provides appropriate standards-based instruction using research-based pedagogy and district-adopted curricular materials. He/She creates a classroom environment that promotes academic achievement and personal growth of every student consistent with District goals.

6th grade at Duff REQUIREMENTS • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. • Valid teaching credential with authorization to teach in a self-contained classroom (Multiple Subject, Standard Elementary, General Elementary) • Valid BCLAD (Bilingual Crosscultural Language and Academic Development) in the specified language OR a CTC approved emergency authorization. Desired Qualifications • Previous experience in Bilingual or Dual Language teaching. • Successful elementary teaching experience within the last 3 years.
