RECRUITMENT TIMELINE: Interviews tentatively scheduled for June 26. Targeted start date July 2024. THE POSITION: The Business/Education Liaison works with schools and employers to provide career exploration and development opportunities for students. The Liaison plans and develops career-related activities for students and teachers, and encourages partnerships with local businesses and community organizations. This position will be assigned to support San Rafael City Schools.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of: Human resource development, use of labor market information in career planning; learning theory and student counseling techniques. Ability to: Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships; plan, organize, prioritize work; communicate effectively, verbally, and in writing; demonstrated leadership on start-up projects where creativity and resourcefulness were a key to success; strong computer skills; presentation skills for large and small group training and workshops; work effectively with a wide range of students.

Typical qualifications would be equivalent to BA or BS degree in Business, Education, or related fields; Minimum of 3 years of experience in business, education, and/or community-work providing human resources services or direct services to students; Possesses valid California Driver’s License. Bilingual in Spanish is desired.
