Months of Employment: Up to 38.5 weeks per school year, maximum 26 hours a week
Work Schedule: Varies, Availability of hours: Monday & Wednesday: 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM; Fridays: 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM (Schedule and shift are subject to change in accordance with department needs.)
Job Description:
The distinguishing characteristic of the Professional Expert-CASAS proctor profile is to assist with the administration of the computer-based CASAS etests and online tests for students in the Basic Skills High School Diploma and GED &HiSET Programs at North Orange Continuing Education (NOCE ). This position will be responsible for tracking students and administering pre and post tests according to the established timeline. Ensures continuous compliance with established testing policies and security agreements, regulations, operating procedures, and community college district standards.
Responsibilities: Complete the required CASAS training and obtain certificates as well as NOCE training.
Assist students with intake CASAS process online and help them get started with the TopsPro Entry/Exit form.
Proctor in-person e-tests and online tests.
Maintain spreadsheets and accurate student records.
Track students and schedule them for pre and post-test.
Generate reports for the program as needed.
Report technical issues to IT and CASAS customer service.
Work closely and collaboratively with the NOCE CASAS Assessment Specialists to learn best practices.
Communicate effectively with administrators, faculty, and staff.
Submit data to the Grants Specialists for submission to the State.
Adhere to assigned schedule and be punctual to each shift.
Act in a professional manner, and work with a significant degree of independence and good judgment.
Demonstrate an understanding of, sensitivity to, and respect for the diverse academic, socio-economic, race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, mental or physical disability, and religious background of all students, faculty, and staff.
Perform related CASAS duties as assigned.
Learns and applies emerging technologies as necessary to perform duties in an efficient, organized, and timely manner.
Travel to and from different campuses and Orange County sites administer CASAS test. 
Primary Purpose:
NOCE is accepting applications for a Professional Expert (Temporary): CASAS Proctor!
Employment Contract and Hours: Up to 38.5 weeks per academic year. Mondays and Wednesdays: 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM; Fridays: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM, for a total of 15 hours a week.

Must be available to work in the evenings. 
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience working in an educational setting.
Must have a valid California driver’s license as travel to and from different Orange County sites may be required.
Proficient communication skills to clearly explain concepts to students.
Communicate effectively in a timely manner with supervisor(s).

Desirable Qualifications:
Experience with standardized tests administration, preferably CASAS .
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with staff across a variety of positions.
Superior written, communication and analytical skills.
Strong organizational skills, including the ability to plan, coordinate, implement, and finalize projects according to specifications and deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
The ability to address the needs of diverse and underrepresented students.
