Requirements / Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent AND: * Minimum of six (6) college units successfully completed (“C” grade or better) in the area of Child development (focusing on children age birth – 9 years old). * Six (6) months experience in working with children in an educational setting. * Desirable qualifications include first aid/CPR certificate, bilingual, experience in Early Intervention Program, and willingness to attend professional development to gain knowledge and skills in Early Childhood Education. * Two (2) recent letters of reference. * Certificate or Transcripts. * To be considered, all requirements must be attached when submitting the completed application.

Applicants must successfully complete each part of the examination process in order to be considered further. WRITTEN TEST: TBD - (PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL FOR AN INVITATION TO TEST). SCORING: Written examination will carry a weight of 100%. All examinations must pass with 75% or better. An eligibility list will be in effect for 6 months or until less than 3 applicants remain on the list. If five (5) qualified applicants from the Lancaster School District demonstrate the ability to meet the job qualifications, the position will be filled on a promotional basis.
