      Instrumental String and Chorus Music Teacher

 

Position:

The successful candidate will have the skills necessary to effectively: 

·     teach music appreciation, harmony and explorations in music,

provide instrumental string instruction to elementary, intermediate and high school students,

·     direct the Districts combined Elementary/Intermediate/High School Orchestra,

·     teach an evening rehearsal once a week to the “District” beginning and advanced orchestra,

·     interact positively with students of all ages, colleagues, parents, and parent booster groups,

·     provide evening school, community and district performances as appropriate to the position,

·     provide string technique inservice support for colleagues during District School Improvement days or staff development meetings,

·     teach choral music at elementary and intermediate school levels.

Qualifications:

·     A valid California Credential authorizing music instruction (grade levels K-12)

·     Bilingual skills are highly desirable

Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply. RUSD requires applicants to have a valid California Teaching Credential authorizing instruction in Music and hold a CLAD or similar authorization for instruction to English Learners.
