The Dixon Unified School District, (DUSD) is seeking a collaborative leader to serve as the district's next superintendent. Nestled in northern Solano County, 30 minutes south of Sacramento, the district serves a diverse student body of 3,020 TK-12 learners. DUSD's mission is to prepare all students for college and career readiness and success in a global society.

LEADERSHIP PROFILE Dixon Unified School District seeks a Superintendent with a proven track record of district-level leadership. Successful candidates must possess the ability to: • Set a clear vision/direction for teaching and learning. • Appreciate cultural diversity and maintain sensitivity toward all learners. • Manage/lead a growing district in a rural setting. • Remain visible and accessible to employees, families, and the greater community. • Communicate clearly and openly with education partners. • Work collaboratively with the Governing Board. QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE • A leader with demonstrated success in a TK-12 system of similar size and demographics • Site level administrative experience required; cabinet level experience preferred • General understanding of instruction, business, and human resource functions • Working knowledge of AVID and college prep programs • Bilingual preferred
