Job Summary
New LA is seeking a passionate, well-organized Resource Specialist who enjoys working at the elementary school level and is seeking a small school environment where they have the ability to shape the school's culture and future. Resource Specialists are responsible for providing RSP services and case management for students with disabilities. New LA is looking for outstanding educators with a strong foundation in the Common Core State Standards and whose teaching beliefs and practices are rooted in anti-racist, culturally responsive pedagogy. At New LA, teachers play an important role in shaping the culture of the school and acting as teacher leaders. Teachers participate in school decision-making, collaborate on curriculum, scheduling and programs, and will be deeply invested in the mission, culture and success of the school community. *** This is an in-person position and New LA Charter School has a Covid vaccine mandate for all employees, contractors, providers and visitors on campus. Unvaccinated individuals are not eligible for this position. ***

QUALIFICATIONS ? A valid California Education Specialist Credential (mild/mod) with Autism Authorization; ? Demonstrated ability to effectively run IEP meetings; ? Ability to audit and monitor compliance based on district, State and federal regulations; ? Demonstrated excellence in implementation, teaching and addressing contents of IEPs (including goals, present levels and accommodations); ? Ability to manage time responsibly and reliably, and ensure that student services are delivered and documented promptly ? A working knowledge of Welligent IEP system and/or strong technical computer-based skills; ? Commitment to the values of New LA and an ability to articulate commitment to the mission; ? Actively engage with and support the school's social justice mission and demonstrates a commitment to intersectional, anti-racist education; ? An ability to be proactive and be a self-starter; ? A positive outlook and enjoy collaborating with colleagues and appreciate different points of view.

New LA offers a competitive salary ranging from $60,000-$99,000 for fully credentialed teachers. Faculty members also receive a generous package of medical benefits, and enrollment in the California State Teachers Retirement System (STRS) retirement plan.
