Stockton Unified School District (SUSD) began providing services to students in 1852 and is located in the heart of California’s Central Valley near the banks of the San Joaquin River. Interested applicants must submit a letter of interest, a completed classified online application, a current resume, and typing certificate.
Education and Experience: Six months of verifiable experience as a fingerprint technician in a governmental law enforcement agency where the principal duties of the position included taking fingerprints, classifying, and searching of files; OR Any combination of education, training and experience equivalent to: Graduation from the twelfth grade and one (1) year of clerical or business experience involving giving of information to the public, or in the operation of a telephone switchboard, or radio equipment. Typing certificate for 40 wpm dated within the last six months must be submitted with application. Ability to understand and speak Spanish is desirable. Licenses and Other Requirements: This classification requires a valid First Aid and CPR Certificate issued by an authorized agency within three months of employment Will be required to successfully complete a background investigation. Certificates: Typing certificate for 40 WPM words per minute within the last six months must be submitted with application. Satisfactory testing in typing is required by the closing date. *Satisfactory testing in typing is required by the closing date. All applicants including current District employees are required to supply their valid typing certificate dated within the last 6 months from: School for Adults 1525 Pacific Avenue, Stockton, CA 95204 Typing Tests are given Monday-Friday 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM Sign up and pay the $10.00 fee* in the front office. *Entitles participant to (3) 5-minute timed tests on day of payment ALL Applicants must submit a copy of the School For Adults typing certificate with other application materials.

Comments and Other Information
Must be able to successfully complete and pass the law enforcement hiring standards, which includes a polygraph examination, psychological examination and an extensive background investigation.
Must be successfully in meeting the qualification standards required to have access to the national and State of California confidential law enforcement data bases.
