Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: • Ability to obtain a Valid California Pupil Personnel Services in School Counseling credential before start date. • Any combination of experience and training that would provide the required knowledge and skill is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required knowledge and skill would be: • Five years prior public-school counseling experience that includes using a comprehensive school counseling program. • Evidence of experience in assisting and enhancing the professional growth of colleagues. • Experience as a resource, mentor, or team(lead). • Willingness to continue to seek professional development and apply new learning by providing professional development to all employees. • Equivalent to the completion of an earned Master of Arts or Master of Sciences or higher degree in counseling and guidance, psychology, or a closely related field. QUALIFICATIONS • Must possess a valid California Pupil Personnel Services School Counseling credential. • Minimum of five (5) years counseling experience in elementary and/or secondary levels.
