The Teacher, Outdoor Education Program will provide program leadership for one of the three villages that consist of 120 students, eight classified instructors, two overnight cabin leaders, and four visiting classroom teachers. Position will be developing curriculum and training instructional staff; leadership position supporting principal with student discipline.</p> <p>This position is full-time and will offer the certificated benefits package, which includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage, and will participate in the CalSTRS state retirement system.</p>

This position requires a strong natural science background and experience working in a residential outdoor education program or related experiences as well as having taught in the classroom. Certificates, Licenses, Credentials: • Valid California teaching credential and English Learner authorization • Valid California Driver License • CPR and First Aid certification
To be considered for this position, you must individually attach the following items to your completed EDJOIN Application: • Resume, detailing education and experience • Letter of Introduction • Two (2) Letters of Recommendation dated within the last year • Copy of valid teaching credential issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing • Copy of valid CLAD or English Learner (EL) authorization issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing if not embedded in your credential • Copy of transcript verifying relevant college coursework • Copy of valid CPR and First Aid certification (Infant/Child/Adult) issued by an American Red Cross or American Heart Association approved program
