Job Summary

BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, clean, maintain and perform maintenance and repair to the districts aquatic centers and related facilities and equipment to assure safe and sanitary conditions; maintain pool chemistry and participate in projects as assigned. Position requires sound judgment, initiative and incumbent must be able to swim.

Requirements / Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and three years’ experience in the maintenance of swimming pools containing over 300, 000 gallons of water. Experience in plumbing and electrical. Basic Computer knowledge LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid California driver’s license and evidence of insurability. Must possess and maintain a current Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) or Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification or successfully obtain the certification within the first six (6) months of employment. The ability to swim is a requirement.
