Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the County Superintendent of Schools, oversees, plans, organizes, directs, and reviews departments, projects, programs, and initiatives of the Santa Clara County Office Education and the County Superintendent of Schools.

Requirements / Qualifications

Experience Individuals with recent direct experience in one or more of the following areas are strongly encouraged to apply – early care and education services; student support services; curriculum, instruction, and assessment; educational services and professional development; executive services; student data management and support; alternative education; student health and wellness services; and/or specialized programs such as special education, migrant education, and federal programs. Qualifications & Skills Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in California elementary or secondary education, with a valid California Elementary or Secondary teaching credential; a valid California Administrative Credential and a valid California driver's license; up to eight (8) or more years of progressive school site and/or central office management experience; a doctorate degree is preferred. Mastery skills in communicating in critical situations, both orally and in writing; financial and statistical analysis and control; creative and adaptive program planning, design, implementation, maintenance and evaluation.
