      DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Plan, Implement, monitor and assess an instructional program that is consistent with the vision and mission of John McCandless STEM Charter School (see lincolnstemcharter.com to download the charter document) • Establish and maintain a classroom culture that promotes positive behavior, a safe physical and emotional environment, and supports the school discipline plan • Integrate technology to differentiate, enhance, and extend core curriculum • Work collaboratively with administration, peers, parents and students to promote positive, open and ongoing communication DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of and/or Experience with the following: • Project Based Learning (PBL) • STEM/STEAM Education • The Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) • Inquiry Based Learning • 21st Century Skills BENEFITS: All John McCandless Charter School employees shall have two options for health benefits: 1) Employees may decline health and welfare benefits for the plan year and receive an annual stipend for 12 months. The annual stipend shall be $14,500 for certificated employees OR 2) Employees may elect Kaiser (Family, Couple, or Single), Delta Dental Plan (Family, Couple, or Single), and Vision Services Plan (Family, Couple, or Single). The benefit package cost for all certificated employees will be paid for by the Charter School up to an annual cap of $14,500. If the plans selected by an employee cost less than $14,500 annually, the difference shall be retained by the Charter School. Employee Assistance Plan will be provided to all employees at no cost to the employee. IMPORTANT COMMENTS cont.
