The job of School Health Technician is done for the purpose(s) of providing specialized health care services to students, including medically fragile or profoundly disabled students; administers first aid, dispenses prescribed medication to students, including injections for diabetic students and performs other health related functions; maintains health records and orders health supplies; and performs other related duties as assigned. The Attendance Clerk was established for the purpose/s of ensuring accurate attendance accounting within the District; resolving attendance related issues; ensuring compliance with state reporting and documenting requirements; conveying attendance related information to appropriate parties; and providing general clerical support, information and/or direction as may be assigned at the school site.

The job of School Health Technician is done for the purpose(s) of providing specialized health care services to students, including medically fragile or profoundly disabled students; administers first aid, dispenses prescribed medication to students, including injections for diabetic students and performs other health related functions; maintains health records and orders health supplies; and performs other related duties as assigned. This job reports to the Site Principal, under general supervision of the district's Registered Nurse and the Director of Special Projects. Experience: Job related experience providing student health care in a special education classroom, a health office or providing health care in a nursing facility, clinic or hospital is REQUIRED. Equivalency: Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school, including or supplemented by training in health care services and five years of increasingly responsible health care experience performing a wide variety of duties. (Public school district and bilingual experience highly desirable.)
