This is an open opportunity available to all interested candidates. There is one (1) 40 hour per week, 10-month per year opening. The selected candidate will work and travel between the following Newcomer Welcome Centers: Hoover High School - 4474 El Cajon Blvd. San Diego, CA 92115 (Area F) San Diego High School - 1405 Park Blvd. San Diego, CA 92101 (Area E) Crawford High School - 4191 Colts Way San Diego, CA 92115 (Area F) Lincoln High School - 4777 Imperial Avenue San Diego, CA 92113 (Area F) Mira Mesa High School - 10510 Reagan Road San Diego, CA 92126 (Area B) This recruitment opportunity requires the incumbent to be Bilingual in English/Haitian-Creole. If you are not a BILINGUAL candidate, please do not submit an application as you will not be considered. Candidates considered for positions that require bilingual skills will be invited to a Performance Test (Qualifying Only) for oral and written fluency. Bilingual positions qualify for a 5% bilingual differential. The Family Services Assistant will be paid on the OTBS Salary Schedule. Salary Grade: 42.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination of training, experience, and/or education equivalent to four years of diversified administrative experience, including working with children, families, community groups, and public agencies. A Bachelor’s degree and working in a school setting is desirable. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Possession of a valid California driver’s license and availability of private transportation (mileage expense allowance provided).
