Job Summary

Under the direction of the Director of Educational Services or designee, the Nursing Program Director (RNPD) is responsible for overall coordination of the Nursing Assistant Programs. RNPD will observe at least one theory and one clinical class per session. Monitoring of programs by the RNPD will be done once at a minimum for theory and clinical per session and at the completion of session. With prior approval, this position is approved to provide oversight to multiple programs. Program administrative duties include classroom and clinical observations, written recommendations for improvement.

Education: • Possess a valid Registered Nurse (RN) License; • Holds or is eligible for a valid California Teaching Credential; • Possess or be eligible to apply for a California Department of Health Services Certification for Director of Staff Development/Instructor (CDPH 279); • Must be able to provide your own reliable transportation to work sites within HJUHSD.

Certifications: • Valid California driver’s license. • First Aid and CPR certification. (completion of the American Heart Association “Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers” or equivalent.
