The California Montessori Project is a public, TK-8 charter school network that uses research-based Montessori pedagogy in providing academic choice for families at our six schools in the greater Sacramento area and Shingle Springs, CA. WE'LL HELP YOU WITH A PERMIT Are you interested in helping support students by becoming a substitute in a classroom? If, so, great! While no prior Montessori experience is required, teacher substitutes do need a permit or credential to fulfill this role. Do you have one of the following? * Full California teaching credential (such as Multiple Subject, Single Subject, Education Specialist, etc.) * 30-Day Substitute Permit * None, but have a bachelor's degree * None, but have at least 90 undergrad units, still attending university/college, and can meet the Basic Skills Requirement WHAT IS THE BASIC SKILLS REQUIREMENT? There are eight ways to fulfill the CTC's Basic Skills Requirement (BSR), with the most common being passing the CBEST or through college courses. If you would like CMP to conduct a transcript analysis on your transcripts to see if you can meet the BSR through coursework, please attach all transcripts (including community college) to this application.
