SPECIAL EDUCATION - EXTENDED SCHOOL YEAR (ESY) POSITIONS - CURRENT PUSD SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS ONLY Extended School Year (ESY) applications are now being accepted for summer employment as a certificated Substitute Teacher. All current PUSD substitute teachers interested in being considered for ESY must apply to this job posting. If you are not a current PUSD Substitute Teacher, and are interested in being considered for ESY, please apply at: https://www.edjoin.org/Home/DistrictJobPosting/1631825 ESY SUMMER SCHOOL PROGRAM DATES: - 4-week programs (ALL classes except “High School Academic Review” class): June 21, 2023 through July 21, 2023. - Pre-K Critical Skills and Pre-K Non-Severely Handicapped do not meet on Fridays - 6-week program (“High School Academic Review” class): June 14, 2023 through July 28, 2023 - All programs are off on June 19, 2023, July 4, 2023 and July 5, 2023 Note that priority for ESY positions will be given to current qualified PUSD employees first, and then filled with outside applicants. Note that substitute teacher placements are made in accordance with the needs of the ESY program. Site and program preferences will be referenced, but not guaranteed.

Current PUSD Substitute Teachers must complete the online application and submit a copy of their current resume (please include PUSD substitute teaching experience). Note that priority for ESY positions will be given to current qualified PUSD employees first, and then filled with outside applicants. Note that substitute teacher placements are made in accordance with the needs of the ESY program.
