Job Summary

Wasco Union High School District is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Custodian/Bus Driver. The position is full time, eight hours per day, twelve months per year, and five days per week. Overtime hours may be required in the course of the job duties. Exceptional Benefits Package: Full Health, dental, vision, prescription and life insurance are provided by the District with no employee contribution for individual and family. The salary range is $3,388.59-$4,277.04 per month with additional compensation as Bus Driver as per Salary Schedule.

Desired experience, knowledge and attributes: • Skilled use of equipment, machines, and tools • Ability to perform general custodial duties • Willingness to assist in setup and operation of athletic events • Capacity to lead others as well as follow the directions of supervisors • Exemplification of pride in responsibilities and duties • The ability to meet the public and present a positive image of the school district

Required Qualifications: • Knowledge of methods, materials and equipment with the ability to perform general custodial duties. • Ability to perform physical labor, ability to set-up for athletic events, ability to understand and carry out moral and written directions, and maintain cooperative-working relationships with those contacted in the course of work. • The ability to meet the public and present a positive image of the school district. • High School Diploma or equivalent • Holds a valid California Class C Drivers License • Currently holds or able to qualify for a school bus driver certification within the 1 year of hire date to attain a valid California Class B Driver’s License with school bus certification and first aid certification issued by the Highway Patrol • A valid medical examiner certificate (required with bus license)
