The mission of Gabriella Charter Schools is to join academic rigor with the creativity of dance to engage the hearts and minds of young people in underserved communities, empowering them to excel both inside and outside the classroom. Gabriella Charter Schools is composed of two high-performing, dance-themed charter schools in the Los Angeles community. GCS 1 serves grades TK-8 and is located in the community of Echo Park. GCS 2 serves grades TK-8 and is located in the community of Historic South Central. Job Summary

The School Social Worker works with the Assistant Principal, School Psychologist, Principal, and other school leaders to identify and support the mental health of students and their families at Gabriella Charter Schools. The School Social Worker provides parent workshops, attendance monitoring and support, classroom behavioral consultation, emotional regulation, and crisis intervention to students in emotional and/or social distress, which has increased given the COVID-19 pandemic.
