We are excited to find an outstanding candidate for a Senior Secretary Clerk opportunity with our award-winning Food Service department in San Luis Obispo, and to create an eligibility list for vacancies that occur over the next six months (future vacancies may be at any site in the District, and may have different hours and work calendars). Senior Secretary Clerks at SLCUSD perform a variety of specialized clerical duties in support of an administrative office or school site, and perform related duties as assigned. The purpose of this recruitment is to fill the current vacancy for Senior Secretary Clerk in our Food Service Department in San Luis Obispo. Start date is dependent upon Fingerprint and TB clearance.
The current vacancy may be on either a 10 month or a 12 month calendar. Candidates interested in either work calendar should apply to be considered. Future vacancies in the District may be on a different work calendar. To be considered for vacancies occurring in the next six months, interested candidates should apply for this vacancy in order to compete for placement on the eligibility list.
EXAM INFORMATION:
Candidates who successfully pass screening and have submitted all required documents will proceed to an exam.
Candidates who pass the exam with a score of 70% or higher may be invited to attend an oral board interview. Candidates must pass oral board interviews with a score of 70% or higher to be added to the eligibility list. The top three ranks of candidates after the exam and oral board interviews will be invited to a hiring interview, date TBD.
SPECIAL NOTES: 1) Correctly filling out forms and following other instructions contained in this notice are part of the testing process. 2) Applicants with disabilities need to notify the Human Resources Office of any special needs so that adequate preparation may be made for their testing. 3) Veterans qualifying for the oral board examination may receive 5 additional points added to their final score if proof of discharge is submitted at time of oral board interview. A "veteran" as used here means any person who served in the United States armed forces in time of war, or national emergency. 4) Eligibility lists are established for a period of six months.
