Job Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Maintenance/Operations/Transportation will safely operate district buses and other vehicles for the purpose of transporting students to and from school and school sponsored events. Applicant must meet stringent requirements concerning their moral character and ability to safely operate a motor vehicle. The applicant must undergo an extensive background investigation into their driving past by the Department of Motor Vehicles. The candidate must also be able to pass a physical examination given by a physician licensed to practice medicine. High school diploma or equivalent. 1. Must be fingerprinted and a satisfactory Department of Justice records check must be received by the District Office, prior to employment; 2. TB testing will be required upon employment; 3. May be required to obtain first aid and CPR certificates within the first 6-12 months of employment; 4. Will be required to drive and travel for work, requiring a current California driver license. Work Schedule: One (1) District Bus Driver: 1:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday - Friday* *Work hours may change depending on need, number of hours will stay the same. *This is position does not receive health benefits through the district. *This position does receive CalPERS benefits.
