At the regular scheduled meeting of October 24, 2022, the Martinez Unified School District Board of Education approved the request to increase daily rates for certificated substitute teachers for the 2022-2023 school year. With the effective date of November 13, 2022, the increased rates are as follows: $220 - regular daily rate $250 - long term rate (applies after 20+ consecutive work days in the same assignment) $240 - SDC daily rate $270 - SDC long term rate (applies after 20+ consecutive work days in the same SDC assignment)

All employees must sign an oath of allegiance to the constitution of the State of California and the United States, must be of good moral character, must obtain evidence of a negative TB test. And will be required to provide evidence of citizenship or appropriate immigration status.
CA law requires public educational employees to be fingerprinted for the purpose of a confidential background investigation at the time of employment, whether or not the employee has previously been fingerprinted.
