Job Summary
Job Summary
May perform any combination of the following: • Assist students in their understanding of new concepts • Repeat, reinforce instruction to assist students with comprehension of academic material • Provide instruction and assistance to students individually and in small groups within the Special Day Class programs • Assist with instruction of self-help skills and academics • Set-up and operate audio-visual equipment and other teaching aids • Assist in the supervision of students on-campus and during off-campus field trips • Complete light computer work to include collecting student data and filing • Administer, score, and record tests as directed • Assemble lesson materials as directed • May work 1:1 with a student • Assist with feeding, toileting, and other specialized health procedures as trained • Confer with teacher regarding classroom materials • Attend professional growth workshops • Follow health and safety practices and procedures • Complete light computer work to include collecting student data and filing • Assemble lesson materials as directed • Maintain a functional and student friendly environment • Attend site and district staff meetings and professional growth workshops as directed • Support students identified as having special needs in the general education classroom • Follow health and safety practices and procedures

No paper applications or additional documents will be accepted.*** Letter of Introduction Resume Copy of Valid CPR Certification • Satisfactorily passes the Paraprofessional Assessment or possesses an AA degree • Experience and strong organizational skills are desirable. • Valid California driver’s license • Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) trained and/or willing to attend the training Offer of employment is contingent upon satisfactory completion of pre-placement medical examination, including drug testing, and fingerprint clearance
