Our ideal candidate is an energetic, outgoing flexible person with high standards. We are also looking for someone who is positive, hardworking and loves collaborating with students and colleagues. She/he would work under the immediate supervision of the site principal and would provide an instructional program to elementary and/or middle school students. The applicant must be interested in developing a hands-on, relevant curriculum that emphasizes critical thinking and meets the IEP goals of students. The applicant would also be an active participant in our school-wide SST process. In addition, the applicant would be responsible for preparing IEP reports, facilitating IEP meetings, and attending district-wide special education meetings. The applicant must be enthusiastic about multi-disciplinary collaboration, professional development, and be committed to being involved in our school community. Tomales Elementary School (K-8) is located in Tomales, CA and serves the rural areas of west Marin County and southwest Sonoma County. School enrollment is approximately 150 students.

Requirements / Qualifications

Education specialist mild-moderate disabilities with autism spectrum authorization, California Multiple Subject teaching credential and ELL Authorization (CLAD), ESSA compliant. Also submit a letter of interest, resume, copy of credentials, copy of transcripts and three current professional letter of reference. Bilingual in Spanish preferred. Must provide valid California Driver's License, Fingerprints and Negative TB clearances and proof of COVID vaccinations.
