Under general supervision, be responsible for the children in the lunch area and on the playground during lunch recess.
Duties and Responsibilities

- Supervision of children and maintaining order
- Attend to the proper seating
- Duties of children according to lunch plans
- Dismiss children from lunch area to playground after immediate area has been cleaned
- Supervision of children on the playground
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of:
- Knowledge of the general needs and behavior of children
- Rules for popular games and activities such as kickball, around the world, four square, tetherball, volleyball, softball, etc.
Ability to:
- Establish/maintain effective relationships with children and understand/carry out oral and written directions

Patience, helpfulness, diligence, persistence and a willingness to work with staff, students and parents from widely different cultural and linguistic backgrounds Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade

- Proof of HS Graduation

The East Whittier City School District provides educational opportunities (transitional kindergarten through eighth grade, including special education) for approximately 9,000 children. The District employs approximately 1,075 teachers, administrators and support staff. We have 13 schools which operate on a traditional school year schedule.
