Job Summary

Sweetwater Secondary School (SSS), affiliated with Altus Schools, is an educational model in which students in grades 7-12 engage in blended learning instruction while working towards individualized course completion via a Pathways Personalized Education Plan (PPEP). The SSS Educator is competent, energetic, and student-centered with exceptional classroom management and organizational skills. This position requires a dedicated individual who understands adolescents, is able to motivate students, sets high expectations, exemplifies equitable and inclusive practices, employs a data-driven approach, embraces accountability, and is a team player.

Math, Science, and Technology skills are in great demand, but applicants in all subject areas are encouraged to apply.

Sweetwater Secondary School (SSS) is a free public school option, serving students in grades 7-12 who seek an alternative learning experience to the traditional school setting. The instructional design is based on a "University Model". Students work independently and attend labs, or tutorials 1-2 times/wk. Students come at scheduled times; no more than 20 students on site at a time. The learning environment, located in resource centers, laptops, desktop computers, wireless networks, and high-speed T-1 Internet access in each resource center.
