QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of: -Attend trainings to learn targeted strategies to support students with behavioral,social emotional and academic needs that are impeding learning. -Take initiative – be able to function with limited supervision. -Attend trainings to become proficient in offering content (math and reading) to support students. -Provide intervention in reading and/or math. -Ability to supervise a group alone. - Lead small groups. - Instructional methods and techniques. - Correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary. - Operation of standard office and classroom equipment. - Basic record keeping and report preparation techniques. - Classroom management. Ability to: - Assist with instruction related activities in an assigned learning environment. - Academic and behavioral interventions to support high quality instruction for all students and to meet student’s individual needs. - Perform basic clerical duties. - Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships. - Communicate effectively. Education and Experience: AA, BS or BA Degree preferred

Under the direction of Director I, Student Services and Site Administrator, the Instructional Assistant – Accelerated Learning (MTSS) will support staff in the creation and implementation of a high quality system of behavioral, academic support and social emotional for students as well as assist in the preparation of instructional materials and clerical support.
