Carousel School is a Non Public school program providing services to Pre-K through 12th grade students. We are located in West Los Angeles, near LAX airport. Carousel has been featured on 60 Minutes and NBC for our nationally-renowned program and our innovative work with children with special needs. We are looking for: An energetic and patient 1:1 Behavioral Aide who is willing to work collaboratively within our interdisciplinary team to help provide continuity in the child’s educational program. Minimum Qualifications for Behavior Aide are: BA or BS Degree in Psychology or child related field. (HS Diploma with Experience can substitute) Fingerprinting upon hire /Health Screen/TB Test. Willingness to work in a flexible environment. Experience in a special ed. classroom is a plus. Must enjoy children, have patience and a positive attitude. All positions are in need of a person who can be structured, steadfast, patient, sympathetic, and disciplined. Carousel Schools primarily serves students with Autism, but also ADHD, ED, and MR students. You will gain invaluable hands on experience, training in tutoring, skill building, behavior tracking and positive behavioral intervention.
