DUTIES: The position of Behavior Management Technician II is to administer basic and advance behavioral techniques to students with significant needs; providing direct student contact and routine clerical/record keeping tasks to address the students’ special education needs as directed by the Case Facilitator and/or Case Manager. Collects behavioral and social data, including Antecedent-Behavior-Consequence (ABC) data; implements next level behavioral drills and discrete trial training; updates program records, including moving drills to maintenance and archiving; creates materials, including instructional aids and transactional supports; co-facilitates team meetings, takes notes, and leads discussions of specific points; assists in the training of Behavior Management Technician I’s on new drills, instructional strategies, and data collection techniques.
QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or equivalent; prior job related experience, paid or volunteer, with children. Direct experience working with children with special needs, desired; knowledge of the principles of child development, instructional processes, and behavior modification/intervention; other requirements as directed by the Board may apply. Must possess a valid California Driver’s License; First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certificates may be required; ability to read, write and communicate in English.
