          Wilder’s Preparatory Academy Charter School was co-founded by Raymond and Carolyn Wilder in 2003. For 20 years we have exemplified the Wilder's vision for excellence in education. A kindergarten through eighth-grade independent charter school, Wilder’s Prep upholds the philosophy that ALL students can learn. The administration, faculty, and staff are committed to providing a high-quality education that meets students' learning needs. Each and every student has multiple advocates who consider our students' unique gifts and talents. At Wilder's, we build the future! Wilder’s has a track record of outstanding student achievement. We are recognized for our students’ top performance on standardized assessments. Seventy-two percent of our budding scholars at the elementary level meet or exceed the ELA standards while 51% meet or exceed the standards in Mathematics. Of our developing middle school scholars, 81% meet or exceed the standards in ELA and 47% do so in Mathematics. Wilder’s Preparatory Academy Charter School ranked #1 out of 279 other top schools throughout Los Angeles County that are also closing the achievement gap for African American and Latino students.
