Job Summary

THE POSITION: Senior Program Specialist – Psychiatric Social Worker coordinates mental health services to youth in LACOE’s Community Schools program. They will provide families and school community support, consultation, and linkage to community resources. Promotes early identification of students with social and/or emotional needs and provides supportive and corrective intervention with the overarching objective to improve school attendance and school engagement under the supervision of the Director of the Community Schools.

Experience: Two years of experience with the supervision of interns desired. Previous experience working with and coordinating/providing services for school aged children. A minimum of five years of experience is desirable. Education: A Master’s Degree in a related field is required, social work preferred. LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE Must possess a Pupil Personnel Services Credential in social work or psychology.
