Job Summary

Education & Experience High School education, and any combination equivalent to two years of college level course work in Theater technology, fine arts, or related field and three years working in theater productions or related field. Experience should cover a wide range of duties in technical theater works (lighting, audio, carpentry, projection, electrical, electronic, other effects). Experience supervising and training students, community volunteers and interns, strongly preferred. Responsibilities: Under the general direction of the Supervisor Theater Facilities, organize, coordinate, train, oversee and perform skilled work in the operation of the performing arts theaters and auditoriums at schools in the district. Operates technical equipment and systems in performing arts theaters and school auditoriums. Perform a broad range of technical duties and support functions related to the production of performances and events, and the utilization of the theater facilities by students, staff and the public. Provide technical assistance and support to various users. Be able to work a flexible workweek. Perform other duties as required. Specific Duties Include: • Read event information sheets to prepare light, audio and other production systems for events for the purpose of operating such systems during events. Anticipate and resolve problems in order to accomplish successful presentations in district theaters and performing spaces. • Provide and/or supervise technical support to the users of the facilities. • Train and supervise students, staff and community volunteers in the technical utilization of the various theater houses in the district. • Facilitate, oversee and guide the technical work of staff or public utilizing the district Theaters/performing spaces. • Perform skilled work in the installation, maintenance and repair of theatrical and audiovisual equipment contained in the assigned facilities. • Monitor and communicate to the Supervisor Theater Fac
