St. Isidore School is in search of a dynamic leader to serve as Vice Principal for the 2021-2022 academic year. The school is located in the town of Danville, CA and serves 610 students in TK through 8th grades. The Vice Principal fulfills the mission of the Catholic school by assisting the Principal in establishing a positive learning environment as the spiritual, educational, and managerial leader of the school. The Vice Principal implements school policies and practices at all levels of the school’s operations. The Vice Principal advises the Principal regarding the supervision of instruction, discipline, and academic and co-curricular activities. Achieving academic excellence requires the Vice Principal to work collaboratively to lead and support staff and to communicate effectively to parents and members of the community.

Areas of Responsibility:
- Supports and upholds the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school
- Acts as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church
- Supports and adheres to the Code of Conduct and policies and procedures of the school and Diocese
- Maintains confidentiality regarding school matters
- Supports and assists with the responsibilities of the principal
- Serves as the principal in the principal’s absence
- Assists in the general administration of the school
- Supports the communication, training, and supervision of the faculty and staff
- Assists in planning for professional development, curriculum, educational materials
- Maintains documentation of instructional planning
- Carries out the disciplinary policies of the school
- Interprets and enforces school policies
- Designs the master schedule with the leadership team
- Assists with conducting faculty/staff meetings and other essential meetings
- Provides direct supervision of school sponsored activities
- Communicates effectively with students, parents, and other professionals
- Demonstrates professionalism in conduct, demeanor, and work habits
- Maintains a work schedule that maximizes availability to the school, students and staff
- Collaborates with peers to enhance the work environment and support instructional planning
- Monitors students regarding tardiness, absences, and requiring academic supervision
- Facilitates faculty and staff committees, as assigned
- Observes and evaluates instruction and provides constructive feedback on performance
- Supports the preparation of handbooks
- Supports the referral process for student evaluation within the public school system
