Work Year: 10 Month Position 3.92 hours per day One split shift from 6:30 to 8:00 AM and 2:20 to 4:45 PM. The other positions are 2:00 pm to 5:55 PM. DEFINITION Under immediate supervision of the care for elementary school children in a site-based before and after school child care program; to assist the Director in program operation; and to perform other related duties. EXAMPLES OF DUTIES • Supervises small groups and individual children following established activity plans • Organizes games, crafts and other activities • Supervises quiet times and homework preparation periods • Observe and control student behavior according to school discipline procedures • Assist in the maintenance of an orderly and clean environment • Prepare and serve snacks • Assist in maintaining records for program and in collecting fees and explaining program procedures to parents, and perform other duties as assigned
