THE POSITION: Under the general direction of the SELPA Director III, the Project Director II shall provide administrative leadership to member charter schools; assist with the oversight and monitoring of programs for students with disabilities; provide technical, specialized, consultative, advisory, and planning services as they relate to special education programs within the member charter schools; assist, advise, and guide charter school administrators in special education program monitoring and quality assurance; conduct neutral fact finding investigations into complaints of potential violations of state and federal laws as they relate to special education programs or services; plan, coordinate, and monitor special education programs and procedures; facilitate trainings and in-services related to special education; provide direction and leadership; assist with the development and implementation of the local plan; supervise and direct SELPA personnel; collaborate with requests for information from authorizers, serve as the designee when the SELPA Director is unavailable, and perform other related duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Any combination of education and experience that would be likely to provide the required knowledge and abilities would be qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: Experience: Six or more years of comprehensive experience in administration including four years in special education as a principal, assistant principal, special education director, or special education coordinator is desirable. LICENSE OR CREDENTIAL: (Must attach credential with document number on it.) • Possess and maintain a Special Education Teaching Credential and/or a Pupil Services Credential • Possess and maintain an Administrative Services Credential authorizing service in K-12 education
