SUMMARY:
The Student Services Supervisors/Activities Director has several primary roles on campus:
- Oversee Student Services Staff and promote growth and excellence among staff members.
- Coordinate Campus events and activities such as musicals, field trips etc.
- Work with Summer Director and Campus Director to promote, fill, and run the Summer Camp program successfully.
- Act as Marketing Department liaison to provide real time news and updates about campus life, send e-newsletters and update social media presence.
- Plan and execute before/after school program activities and extra curricular classes for campus.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience: Bachelors of Arts Degree or equivalent; plus 3-5 years experience working for Summer Camps; after school programs; or Education field. Supervisory skills and able to manage direct reports are a must.
- Adaptability: Must be a flexible person who can set priorities, delegate authority, and take direction from a supervisor—and be willing to listen and partner.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communicator (both oral and written) with internal and external constituents (parent, teacher, student and administration).
- Must have excellent computer skills.
- Self Direction & Initiative: Must have the ability to problem solve and to take the appropriate initiative. Make-it-happen attitude essential.
- Strong Intrapersonal Skills: Approachability, warmth and the ability to relate well with staff, parents, and children. Friendly and helpful disposition needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Including, but not limited to the following:
- Direct and supervise student services team with integrity while empowering and holding staff accountable.
- Ability to relate professionally and with care to staff, faculty, parents and students.
- Be a Team Player who shows willingness to partner on campus and within Fairmont.
- Strengthen campus culture through positive and approachable demeanor, and belief in Fairmont outcomes and approach.
- Partner with Summer Team to develop Summer Camp Program including managing budget, planning activities, developing standards, policies and procedures, complying with accreditation standards, assisting with staff training and development, and facilitating enrollment and promoting program with families. During summer season, serve as Summer Camp Director.
- Develop and oversee before/after school programs and extracurricular classes. Manage vendor relations.
- Work closely with Parent Association and encourage parental participation in student life activities.
- Coordinate student life activities such as school pep rallies, Spirit Week, Red Ribbon Week and other special events.
- Coordinate and schedule field trip events for all grade levels and programs.
- Participate in yard duty supervision as needed.
- Manage school event calendar.
- Process payroll and manage budget effectively while meeting all proper deadlines.
- Master technology required to act as campus liaison to Fairmont Marketing Department to execute Fairmont’s Internal/External Communication Strategy, including the creation of weekly e-newsletters, updates to social media and the creation of campus promotional pieces.

- Act as an enthusiastic member of the Fairmont team in support of its mission, vision and values.
- Perform other duties as assigned by campus, including leadership meetings etc.
