Position: Classroom Teacher
FLSA: Exempt
Reports To: Site Principal
Pay Grade: Certificated Salary Schedule
SUMMARY
To help students learn subject matter and/or skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able and responsible adults.
ESSENTIAL TYPES OF DUTIES (Examples)
· Seeks to reach District standards as established in the designated curricular areas as adopted by the Governing Board as they relate to all pupils for which the teacher is directly responsible.
· Performs co-curricular and/or adjunct duties as assigned by the Governing Board, Superintendent and/or other designated persons.
· Maintains proper disciplinary control of pupils which are directly assigned and secondarily maintains proper control of all pupils in the Clovis Unified School District. Teachers shall enforce all rules governing the conduct of pupils, as such rules may be prescribed by the Education Code, Title 5, The Governing Board, and the District and school administrators.
· Provides a suitable learning environment for the academic and social development of all students within the guidance as established by the Governing Board, Superintendent, and designated administrator, adhering to the concept that the safety and welfare of our students is paramount at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess or be eligible for appropriate California classroom credential.
