For questions regarding the coaching position, please contact Kenneth Cohen, PHS Athletic Director at (951) 657-2171, Ext. 21107 or email at kenneth.cohen@puhsd.org Minimum Coaching Requirements: Temporary Athletic Team Coaches shall give evidence of meeting minimum requirements by one or more of the means listed below: Possession of a valid first aid card and a valid CPR card. Coaching experience at the High School level is strongly desired. Demonstrate competency and experience in the sport applying for i.e. certification or rating by a recognized association of the sport being coached or a course, workshop, clinic, or participation in the specific sport for at least one (1) year at Varsity level Must successfully complete an interview related to the coaching skills and philosophy of the sport being interviewed for. Must be able to clear all training required by the district to be considered a coach, such as NFHS Fundamental of Coaching, Sudden Cardiac Arrest, Concussion Protocol, etc. ****DO NOT ATTACH ANY DOCUMENT OR IDENTIFICATION THAT DISPLAYS A PHOTO OF YOU AND/OR INDICATES YOUR AGE. Any application containing this information will be automatically disqualified from the process.
Final candidate will be required to obtain CPR/First Aid Certification, NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching certification, NFHS Sudden Cardiac Arrest certification, NFHS Concussions in Sports certification, as well as Perris Union High School District Human Resources required documents and safety training.
