Description:

The Substitute Teacher Training Program (STTP) is a workshop for new or continuing substitute teachers designed to empower teachers with the skills and strategies necessary to be successful in any classroom. Participants will have opportunities to work in elementary and secondary groups to enhance learning opportunities. Participants will receive a Certificate of Completion at the end of the training.
Topics Include: Instructional Strategies Classroom Management Emergency Curriculum Legal Responsibilities Special Education (Inclusion) Challenging Scenarios Career Changer and Credential Information
Registration Deadline: October 30, 2009
Registration Fee: $75 (nonrefundable) The registration fee covers training and materials, continental breakfast, and a Certificate of Completion.
Payment Options: Cash or check payable to Orange County Department of Education.
