Join our dynamic team of Early Educators as a Toddler Teacher at Sierra College Child Development Center. This is a full time, full year position working with children ages 18 months - 3 years old. We offer competitive salary and benefits with PTO for vacation and sick leave. Our Toddler Teacher provides a strong developmentally and age-appropriate educational program to toddler and preschool students. The focus of the curriculum includes developing strong self-help skills, developing strong social skills, and supporting school readiness skills. Assesses student development using the Desired Results tool. Meets regularly with families to design a Child Development Plan which may include home visits. Works collaboratively with teaching partners. Works within the parameters of the Federal and State regulations that govern the program. Provides classroom training and mentoring of college students studying child development. This position is a lead to lower level teaching positions in the program.

Education and Experience: Any combination of training and experience, which would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities, may be qualifying. We reserve the right to determine if a candidate meets the qualifications. •Must possess a valid California Child Development Teacher Permit or appropriate California Teaching credential. •Six (6) college units in Infant/Toddler coursework or ability to obtain within 2 semesters of hire date. This is required for Toddler program. •Valid Pediatric First Aid and CPR (including EMSA) or ability to obtain within first six (6) months of employment.   • Credential Copy
  • Letter of Introduction
  • Letter(s) of Recommendation (Three (3) Letters of Recommendation written within the last three (3) years.)

  • Child Development Permit - Master Teacher
